The pair first met each other in 1998 on the USA/ Mexico  tour of Cirque Ingenieux where Shelly was the flyer in the triple trapeze act and Jason was the lead clown. In 2006 they formed the duo Strange Comedy and Married in 2009. They now permanently reside in Wiesbaden Germany.

The clown duo have performed all over world either with their theatre show, variete acts or their street theatre show here are just some of their past works.
Varietes include: The Wintergarten Variete Berlin,  Friedrichsbau Variete Stuttgart, Pegasus Variete Bensheim, Dasdie Brettl Erfurt, Himmel auf Erden in Zurich.
They were the starring clowns in the famous GOP Variete theatre show titled WUNDERTUTE for 3 years.
Some of the festivals where they appeared: The Blackpool Magic Festival 2016, The International Comedy Festival Moers, Komodie & Ko. Liechtenstein, Le Boulevard Straatentheater Belgium, The OLALA festival Tirol,  Fabelhaft Austria, Mercantia Certaldo and Veregra street Festival Italia.
TV includes: BBC TV show THE SLAMMER RETURNS, Comedy festival CCTV Beijing China.
Also they have performed as guest entertainers on such cruise lines as, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Princess, Costa Cruise and Tallink Cruise Lines.

Joined Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystere Las Vegas 1999 as the clown character the little baby. Her education extends from The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts - London, England. Ecole Jacques LeCoq - Paris, France and The Ecole Philippe Gaulier in London. She worked for Theatre Transformations with Tracey Boot in Chambery France, a theatre company based in mask and mime. She studied Trapeze in Montreal at the N’oeud D’erseau and the Flip Gym. By 1998 she was performing as the flyer in the triple trapeze act in Neil Goldbergs’ Cirque Ingenieux. A year later she was performing her solo dance trapeze act in San Francisco’s Make-A-Circus, the Zucchini Family Circus, directed by Joan Mankin.

During her time in Cirque du Soleil she became an accomplished voice over artist. In 2002 she left Cirque du Soleil, and created the Les Fillesaulit, a three woman comedy trapeze act, as well as the Taxi Cha Cha, her one woman comedy dance Trapeze act.

In 2003 she began a career of directing and act creation in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and presently in Berlin.

Shelly Kastner’s work is that of the well-meaning helpful clown who has tendency to create disaster and mayhem to the screams of laughter of the audience. But the audience continues to laugh and applaud as she joyfully makes the impossible possible, the way cartoons do.

Jason McPherson performed on the Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde in 2001. He studied at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts, The Celebration
Barn Theatre and The Del Arte International Theatre. His teachers have included Jeff Razz, Joan Schirle, Leonard Pitt, Tony Montanaro, and Chinese Acrobatics with Master Lu Yi.

In 1996-98 he stared as the comic and magical Tailor in Neil Goldberg’s Cirque Ingenieux. By 2002 he was headlining his one man show on Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Holland America Cruise Lines, as well as performing at festivals like the Edmonton Buskers festival and the Edinburgh Fringe where he received four stars from the Scottsman.

Jason’s work is primarily based in manipulating the inanimate world to look like it is manipulating him. Clothing comes to life and attacks him, machines entrap and twist him, magic tricks disobey him and his own partner accidentally dismembers him. But in the end he always wows the audience with exciting feats of balance and dexterity as his character lives out his action movie hero fantasy.
